Sightings: The Trench Coat

As I do not work in the store anymore and am out doing service calls I do not get the chance to see the wonderful variety of the female form as I would like. Oh, I love my job, but most times the female clients are dressed very casually (since I do mostly calls in home) and are of average looks. Don't get me wrong. Many are beautiful but simple NOT memorable.

But today Campers I was grocery shopping and as I left the store with my purchases I heard that wonderful click-clop of high heels behind me. I used the excuse of going to my car's passenger door to place my purchases in my car so I could gander/perve/watch/appreciate the source of such a wonderful sound.

It was worth it...

Tall.
Blonde.
No hose but a small tattoo on her ankle.
Great legs.
Mid height heels.

So in honour of this wonderful apparition I offer you this...

Sightings

It's been a while since I posted a "sightings" blog because, frankly, the women that come into the store I work at are generally terribly conventional in their dress. Sure, we get mini-skirts and tight pants and the odd hosiery delight but generally it is yawn city.

But a week ago a young 20-ish woman did come into the store seeking computer help and she was wearing this dress. I mean a real dress. Not some spandex monstrosity that was purchased at Walmart but something distinctive and unique.

Being me I asked her about it and she said it was a vintage dress from the late 1940s. I wish I had the ability to describe it but she looked simply delicious in it. I was a light puce or pink shade with V neck and the V neck had this simple lace pattern that accentuated the dress and her breasts. She wore these off beige high heels and hose and looked simply smashing.

So, there is nothing like a 48 year old man commenting positively about her attire at my work place. For all intents and purposes I probably broke 20 politically correct laws and effectively re-wrote the Canadian Constitution but I HAD to let her know how simply awesome and unique her attire was!

To top it off she knew lots about aviation, had GREAT legs, and was damn smart. What I would give to be younger because I would ask her out.

BTW her father was there so with his protective gaze I had no option but to keep my mouth shut.

Sightings

At work today was a lovely lady from Corporate head office. 35ish, chestnut shoulder-length hair. White satin blouse draping over her well-proportioned breasts. Black mid-thigh skirt with black pumps and wonderful legs. A bit thin for my taste but all the same wonderlicious.

Yesterday a customer in early 30s. Awesome black hosed legs with this very interesting tattoo on the right inside of her leg about 2 inches above the ankle. Very nice as well but married damn it!

Mall

A recent visit to the local mall (first visit in 6 months) revealed some fashion trends in my area...

Opaques are IN in a big way. Mostly black opaque hose with short skirts or shorts.

Lots of boots paired with the opaques and the skirts/shorts. Mostly flat heels (sigh) but some high-heeled boots in evidence.

Black is the new black i.e. that almost every woman was wearing black.

Sightings

Works has been a bit bereft of decent stocking and hose sightings recently which makes me sad. Of note though were the following...

A shortish woman in a snazzy chocolate brown blazer with matching MINI SKIRT topped off (or is it bottomed off) with matching chocolate tights. Nice pumpkin coloured pattened leather 3 inch heels.

A business woman. Tall and lanky in off-maroon skirt and black blouse and matching maroon hip length blazer. Black 3 inch pumps with smokey gray hose. Bumped into her again at the local coffee shop. It was a pleasure to watch her walk. Confident stride.
