I love the Vintage Stockings Archive. Who wouldn't? It is a compendium of thousands of vintage images categorized and updated regularly but I have to admit some problems with the collection.

First, it has had to more 3 times in the past year as the creator uses free web hosting sites and that leads to a level of impermanence that is a bit frustrating, especially if the site goes down before the admin of the VSA can inform us vintage stocking fans and fetishist.

Second, and this is a minor quibble, there are some great sets (like the one below) that are often scattered throughout the categories. If found, these sets offer up some wonderful scenarios when one can piece them together in the proper order.

Like this set below. I have to admit a small fascination for the use of figure skates and a sword as a thematic launching pad for a set of stocking pictures. But...hey!...it works for me. Luckily this set was in VSA's latest offering of Spick and Span and Beautiful Britons. Go look for yourself.
