A Life in Ruins: Part 2

Looking vulnerable and sexy Wanilianna continues her "A Life in Ruins" series. Some great images to be had.

This theme and the setting is a long-time dream of mine. I find abandoned places fascinating. You drive past an abandoned farm house or factory and you wonder about the lives lived in these places. The hopes and dreams that grew from them and the tragic stories that led to their demise. The lighting, the texture of the broken down remnants of the interior and exterior spaces offer many opportunities for photography.

As a special treat I offer one of my attempts to express a moment in time. This was taken at the Waterloo Buskers Festival and I was trying to capture the intensity of the street artist's craft while emphasizing the use of colour in his work.

I would be interested to know which photograph is your favourite and why. Please click on each photo to get the full sized version.

Wanilianna and Carrie

Wanilianna was kind enough to forward to me two wonderful images and consent to let me post them here. Those of you that frequent Wanilianna's blog have seen Carrie before. The sets is featured here and here. The photographer for the sets was MAREK BANOWSKI.

I love the lighting and the theme and the effect of placing the subjects in the inset on the wall acts like a picture frame further increasing our focus on these beautiful women.

Simply wonderful...

My favourite photograph is the second one. It tells more of a story in my opinion.

Enjoy!!!
